DESCRIPTION: Clocks- 3 (Three): (1) Bench-made pillar & scroll with antique 30 hours, time and strike, wood movement; (2) Williams, Orten & Prestons & Co., Farmington, Conn., 30 hours, time and strike, wood movement with carved columns and plain splat case, c1837; (3) Birge & Fuller 8 days, strap brass time and strike, weight driven movement in column & cornice case, c1840.
CONDITION: (1) Mahogany and mahogany veneered bench made case. However, the painted dial and wood movement are antique. There are no weights with this clock. Tablet and finials are reproductions; (2) Mahogany veneered case in an old finish with veneer repairs. Original painted dial with scattered loss. Hands are original. Reverse painted tablet is a quality replacement. Carved columns are original, but plain splat is not; (3) Refinished mahogany veneered case. Wood dial has been repainted and minute hand is a replacement. Mirror and lower tablet are not original. Case may originally had feet.
